Vlassides Winery

Overview

Winemaker Sofoklis Vlassides decided in 2017 to update the overall image of the winery products. We designed the new logo and all the wine labels, working closely with the marketing agency Ambigram.

The award-winning architecture of the winery was the starting point for creating the logo, and geometry is the main element of the wine labels.

Each label of the three single variety wines has an area printed with foil stamping of a different colour.

The labels of the experimental wines were designed as Word documents allowing the wine maker to change the texts and print the labels on a simple printer.

The winemaker's top creation is named Opus Artis. The label combines foil stamping and embossing.

In 2020 two new wines were created using the local grape varieties Xinisteri and Yannoudi. The names Oroman and Alates derive from the local dialect and mean dream and wings.

The first sparkling wine came out in 2021.
Its name (Eddial - Idalion) derives from the nine kingdoms of ancient Cyprus and it means "I saw the sun".
